A Note about Medicare
Medicare assignment is accepted for all medically necessary services. Medicare considers the cutting of nails medically necessary when the patient is in pain, or when certain medical conditions exist requiring a podiatrist to provide such care. Certain metabolic, neurological and peripheral vascular diseases, in conjunction with a systemic condition may create potential harm or injury if, foot care is performed by a family member or unskilled individual.
